Carbon Fiber 3D Printing

Carbon fiber reinforced filaments produce the stiffest, most dimensionally stable parts we print. If a part needs to hold tolerance under load, shrug off heat, or replace machined aluminum in a fixture, this is usually the material conversation we end up having.

We print carbon fiber reinforced parts in Kelowna and ship them across Canada and internationally.

What carbon fiber printing actually gets you

The chopped carbon fibers in these filaments raise stiffness and heat resistance well above the base plastic while keeping parts light. A carbon fiber nylon bracket holds its shape where plain PLA would creep, and a fixture printed in carbon fiber PETG stays true through repeated clamping. The trade is surface texture, a matte finish that suits shop-floor hardware.

Materials we run

Our core carbon fiber materials are reinforced PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, and PA nylon, all running on hardened nozzles with tuned profiles. Glass fiber options and higher temperature composites are quoted case by case. If you are unsure which base polymer fits, describe the load, temperature, and environment and we will recommend one.

Common carbon fiber jobs

Jigs and fixtures for production lines, drill guides, brackets and mounts, drone and robotics frames, tooling that replaces machined aluminum at a fraction of the cost, and end-use enclosures that need to stay rigid in the heat. Functional prototypes headed for a carbon fiber production run should be printed in the same material, and we quote both together.

What businesses ask us about carbon fiber 3D printing.

Is carbon fiber 3D printing as strong as machined metal?

Stiffness-to-weight is where it competes, not absolute strength. For fixtures, brackets, and tooling, a carbon fiber print often replaces aluminum at far lower cost, but highly loaded metal parts should stay metal. Tell us the application and we will say which side of that line it falls on.

Which carbon fiber material should I choose?

Carbon fiber PETG or PLA covers most jigs and fixtures, and nylon composites take more heat and abuse. For genuinely hot or chemically harsh environments, ask about higher temperature composites and we will match the material to the working conditions you describe.

Do carbon fiber parts cost much more?

The filament costs more than standard plastic and the difference shows up in the part price, but for functional parts the printed cost still lands well below machining. Ask for the same part quoted in two materials and we will show you the difference.

Can you ship carbon fiber parts across Canada?

We ship them like everything else we print, by tracked courier from Kelowna to anywhere in Canada. Western Canadian addresses typically see parts within one to three business days, and your quote includes the shipping estimate for your address.
